What we expect from a candidate
When you apply for a job with us, we expect that you get a good overview of the products we offer and what these products can do for our customers. This helps you to understand what we do at our company. Also after you have started working with us, we think it is important to stay up-to-date about our products and their users. This helps us to develop the ideal software for our customers. Depending on the position you apply for, we may ask you to provide a work sample or to solve a task as preparation for the interview. There is no need to be afraid of this and we will provide you with feedback in the interview.
Application
The application can be written in German or English. Choose the language you feel most comfortable with (see below: Language). Keep the application short. We would like you to convince us with your skills and knowledge. Therefore, we suggest that you not only focus on listing the different stages in your CV but also on describing the different tasks of your jobs and which skills you gained through them. For software developers we recommend to include a link to the GitHub account or to provide an example of a software that you wrote which shows us how you program. Please take some time to consider which documents you will send to us. If you are unsure which documents to send, choose the ones that you think will help us to evaluate your skills and experiences that are needed for the position you are applying for.
Interview
Of all the applicants we choose the most promising candidates and invite them for an interview. If you live far away, the interview can be done via Skype in the first place. In our talk we want to get an impression of your skills and how well you fit into our team. At the same time we want to give you the possibility to get an impression of us and ask any questions you may have. It is equally important that you feel our company is the right one for you. We do not have any dress code. If you prefer to wear a suit, you are more than welcome to wear a suit in the interview. If you feel more comfortable wearing jeans and sweater, that is absolutely fine as well. We usually wear casual outfits, like shirt and jeans in the interviews.
Important: If the interview is done via Skype: Prior to the call, please make sure that your audio and camera are working, and that we can hear and see you clearly.
Form of application
We use an applicant management system through which you submit your application. There you can also attach all further documents. CV and other attachments should be submitted in two separate documents. A little tip from us: When you apply for a job at a PDF-company, it should be clear which software to use for creating the PDF.
Language
In our teams we usually communicate in German but we all speak English at different levels. When you apply for a job at our company there is no need to panic if your German is not fluent in the beginning. The most important thing is that your personality and your skills fit into our team. We would, however, expect any candidate to be committed to learning German once they get offered a position with us.
Important: We ask head hunters and recruiters to refrain from contacting us. These enquiries will not be processed. We do, however, look forward to getting contacted directly by all candidates!
